Ramadan 2026 Ads Playbook: What We Learned Last Year and What to Change
Ramadan 2026 is expected to start around 19 February in Pakistan. Here's our ads playbook based on last year's results: timing, budgets, creative and the Eid delivery deadline.

In short:
- The Met Office expects the Ramadan moon to be sighted on 18 February, which would make 19 February the first fast. The Ruet-e-Hilal Committee makes the final call.
- Ramadan starts earlier this year, so Eid ul Fitr will fall around the third week of March.
- Lock creative and stock this week. Plan Eid delivery deadlines now.
Ramadan 2026 is about ten days earlier than last year. The Pakistan Meteorological Department expects the new moon on 17 February and a likely sighting on the evening of 18 February, which would make 19 February the first day of Ramadan. That leaves about a week to prepare.
What last year taught us
- Sale campaigns tied to a clear moment win. In one skincare account, a short Eid sale campaign returned about 12.5x its ad spend, far above the account average.
- Evenings and late night matter most. After Iftar until Sehri is when people browse and buy.
- Creative fatigue is faster. Every brand posts similar crescent-moon visuals. Ads that look different stand out.
- Delivery deadlines drive urgency. “Order by [date] for Eid delivery” was one of the best-performing messages.
The 2026 plan
- This week: finalise Ramadan and Eid creative (at least 10 different ads), confirm stock, set courier cut-off dates for Eid delivery with your logistics partners.
- Week 1 of Ramadan: brand and value content, lighter promotions. Build retargeting audiences with video views and engagement.
- Weeks 2–3: launch Eid collections and gift guides. Increase budgets gradually, by 20–30% at a time.
- Last 10 days: peak spend. Retarget cart abandoners and past buyers hard. Show the delivery deadline in every ad.
- After the deadline: switch to gift cards, in-store pickup or a post-Eid sale.
Google Ads tips
- Add Ramadan and Eid keywords (“Eid gifts for her”, “Eid dresses online”) to search campaigns.
- Update Merchant Center promotions so sale prices show in Shopping ads.
- Schedule budget increases instead of doing them manually at midnight.
