Meta’s New AI Ad Tools From Advertising Week 2026: What Changes for Advertisers

At Advertising Week New York on 6 October 2026, Meta made AI video generation from static images available to all advertisers and showed an AI assistant that can plan and adjust campaigns. Here's what Pakistani advertisers should do.

Meta’s New AI Ad Tools From Advertising Week 2026: What Changes for Advertisers

In short:

  • Advantage+ Creative can now turn static product images into video ad variations, available to all advertisers.
  • Meta is testing an AI business assistant that can plan campaigns and adjust targeting and budgets through conversation.
  • Meta is moving towards plain-language audience discovery and broader Advantage+ Audience. Manual targeting isn’t gone, but it’s becoming a suggestion.

Meta used Advertising Week New York on 6 October 2026 to announce another round of AI tools for advertisers. The headline for most brands: static-to-video generation in Advantage+ Creative is now available to everyone. Meta also showed an AI assistant that can help plan campaigns and change settings through conversation, though reports differ on how widely it’s available yet.

What’s new

  • Static-to-video: upload product images and Advantage+ Creative generates short video variations.
  • AI business assistant: plan campaigns, suggest audiences and adjust budgets by chatting. Still being tested.
  • Audience discovery: describe your audience in plain language in Detailed Targeting, expected by the end of 2026, and wider use of Advantage+ Audience.

What it means for Pakistani advertisers

Small brands without a video team can now produce video ads from product photos. That’s useful, especially since Meta’s delivery system rewards creative variety. But AI-generated video from a single photo will look similar to every other brand using the same tool. Real footage of your product, your customers and your team will still stand out.

What to do

  1. Test static-to-video on your best-selling product images, alongside your existing video ads. Judge on orders, not views.
  2. Review Advantage+ creative settings on existing campaigns. Some enhancements switch on by default. Make sure every generated variation fits your brand and makes no claims you can’t support.
  3. Use the AI assistant as a helper, not the decision-maker. Check any budget or targeting change it suggests against your own sales data.
  4. Keep investing in real creative: customer videos, product demos and creator content.
  5. Read Meta’s updated advertising terms before they take effect at the end of October.

Our take

Meta is automating the parts of advertising that used to need specialists: targeting, budget changes and now video editing. What it can’t automate is understanding your customer and your offer. That’s where your advantage, and ours, comes from.
